Billing and payments

You can buy Bite Intel Pro on www.ripiq.com or in the iPhone app through Apple. You change and cancel it in the same place you bought it. With a website plan, you keep what you paid for until the end of the billing period.

More detail

What you pay for. Bite Intel Pro includes your home region. On the website it is $119 a month or $999 a year, and if you pay by the year, you save 30% compared with twelve monthly payments. Each additional region on the website is $49 a month or $399 a year. In the iPhone app, Bite Intel Pro is $119.99 a month or $999.99 a year in the U.S., and each additional region is $49.99 a month or $399.99 a year. Outside the U.S., the app shows Apple's price for your country. To see what Pro adds to the app, read Free and Pro. You can look around with a free account before you pay for anything.

One account. The website and the iPhone app share one account, so your plan works on both when you sign in.

Buying on the website. Open the pricing page on www.ripiq.com, choose Monthly or Annual, and press Get Bite Intel Pro. You pay through Link, a Stripe checkout service. Link is the merchant of record, so your card statement reads LINK.COM* RIPIQ.COM.

Buying in the iPhone app. Open Account and tap See Pro Plans, or tap See Pro plans on a locked layer. Pick your Pro region, choose Monthly or Annual, and tap Subscribe. Apple charges your Apple ID. You pick the region before you pay, and it stays fixed. To add a region, open Account and tap Add a Region. You can add up to five extra regions.

Changing a website plan. You handle renewals, card changes, invoices, and adding or removing a region on the website, under Account, then Manage account, then Billing. When you add or remove an additional region, the charge is prorated on your subscription. You cannot remove the region that came with the plan by itself. It stays until the subscription ends.

Changing an App Store plan. Apple bills Pro and each extra region as separate subscriptions. In the app, Account lists each one, and Manage Subscription opens Apple's subscription screen. You can also use the subscriptions in your Apple account settings. An extra region stays where you bought it: to fish somewhere else, cancel that region and add the other one. If a plan you bought through Apple on this Apple ID does not show, tap Restore Purchases in Account.

How canceling works. On the website, sign in and open Account, then Manage account, then Billing, then Cancel Subscription. For an App Store plan, cancel in your Apple subscriptions. Canceling Pro through Apple does not cancel an extra region: Apple keeps charging for it, and it unlocks nothing without Pro, so cancel each one. When the paid period runs out, your account goes back to Free and loses the paid regions, but it keeps your home region setting.

Refunds. For a website plan, we do not refund as a rule: canceling stops the next charge, it does not return the last one. Link can refund within 60 days of purchase under its own policy. For an App Store plan, Apple handles refunds, so ask Apple.

If a payment fails on a website plan, you keep your access while the payment is retried.

For anything about a charge, email support@ripiq.com with the account's email address and the date of the charge.
