@Helm
Say it “at Helm.” Bite Intel on the Garmin displays at the wheel — a box on the boat, not a browser tab.
Coming soon. We are not putting a date on it, and there is nothing here to sign up for.
On the helm displays
The same water you read on the phone, up on the screens you are already looking at. Nothing new to learn, and no phone in your hand at the wheel.
Works with no signal
It pulls the day down while you still have bars and keeps it on board. Out past the last tower, where a browser tab is a blank screen, is where a box earns its keep.
Records your track
Every trip the boat makes, off the boat’s own instruments — where you went and how fast, and with the right sensor the depth and the water temperature under you.
It is not out
@Helm is hardware, and hardware does not ship because somebody wrote a page about it. The cloud half of it runs today — that is the part that takes what the box sends and keeps it. The box itself is not something you can buy.
When there is something to say about it, it will be said here. Until then this page is the whole of what we are willing to claim, and that is also why there is no picture on it: the only honest photograph is one of the real thing, and it has not been taken.
