Trip catch pins
Fish-shaped marks that show where you caught fish on a recorded trip, colored by species with the name beside each one. They appear in the Logbook as you log catches on a live trip and whenever you open that trip afterward, never on the main map by themselves.

More detail
What each mark tells you. A solid fish is one you caught; an outline is one you missed or only saw. A log entry that records no fish gets no mark.
How to see more. Click a mark on the website, or tap it on the iPhone app, to open that catch's details. You find weight, length and time in the catch record, under Catches in the Logbook. Where catches are close together, some of the names are hidden until you zoom in. The marks themselves stay.
If something is wrong. To correct the species, edit the catch under Catches in the Logbook. The position is the one your phone had at that moment. A catch logged with a poor GPS signal can sit some way off.
How to use them. Open a trip and read the marks along with the track line. The yellow stretches are where you trolled, and the marks show where along them the fish came. Move the time slider to bring the boat icon to a mark and see what time it was.
How they relate to the other trip marks. The Trip track line is the path of the trip, and the Trip boat marker is the boat icon that follows the time slider. All three appear together when a trip is open.
Privacy and coverage. Your catches are stored in your own account and drawn only for you. They are never used to change the species habitat maps you see. They appear wherever you fished, including where the ocean layers have no data.
